Future Initiatives, 2007.
A special 'feature' of the day was a look at some of the initiatives that are being planned for the future of AFIL.
There is LOTS going on
in the future for AFIL!
These initiatives include:
- Capital Campaign
The meeting unofficially discussed, the idea of new buildings for AFIL and raising the money it would take. Want to know more? Just click here and contact Howard. - Victory Garden
- To help residents grow own food.
- To provide a garden for everyone to enjoy. - Celebrate Independence 2007
Second annual auction fund raising event:
- Target of $20,000 towards capital campaign.
- Date set for October 15th. 2007. - Grant seeking for the year
- Major 'spruce-up and repair of existing facility.
- Augment staffing to accommodate growth. - AFIL Industries
- Could AFIL start it's own business?
- Should AFIL employ it's residents?
We also still need people to take part in committees!
These are committees such as the Capital Campaign, the Development Committee, and of course, the Celebrate Independence 2007 auction committee.
